On the day of the performance, minor schedule adjustments occurred during on-site operations, resulting in a slight delay in the artist’s stage entrance. The performer had to move quickly from the waiting room just before the performance, going on stage with limited preparation time.
Given the nature of a solo recital, which requires a high level of concentration, the performer entered the stage under slightly tense conditions. In a brief conversation before the performance, she appeared to take the situation calmly.
During rehearsal, slight timing inconsistencies and tonal instability were identified in certain notes of Piano No. 309. To address this, on-site re-tuning was carried out with tuner Kim Chang-geun. Although it was a basic tuning issue, at the request of the performer’s mother, tuner Lee Jong-yeol was also consulted. Her mother, Professor Lee Kyung-sook, is a highly respected figure in the Korean piano community, which made the situation a reminder of the importance of a tuner’s expertise.
Overall, the stage operation recovered to align with the schedule, and the performance itself concluded cleanly, meeting expectations for the program with precise execution throughout.
