I was in charge of the KBS Symphony Orchestra’s monthly concert series.
From 2015 to 2017, I was responsible for the concert series led by the KBS Symphony Orchestra and conductor Yoel Levi. Each month featured a different program, and I managed the planning and execution of these concerts, including changes in repertoire, guest soloists, and orchestral scale. Through this process, I was able to gain practical experience and understanding of how a large-scale orchestra operates its monthly repertoire.
Throughout this period of continuously running concerts, I was able to directly experience how a leading orchestra sustains its performances over time, and came to think about why audiences and fans continue to show consistent support for this orchestra, and how such a dedicated fan base is formed.
Additionally, observing the recent increase in private orchestras, I found myself hoping that the classical music ecosystem would continue to grow more diverse and rich.
